My business profile was suspended a week after I put it up. I suspect it was because I attached a number of photos to the profile (exactly what the guidelines suggested I do to make it searchable). Now it’s been a month since I appealed and still nothing… There’s no way to contact anyone, no avenue for further appeals. This hold up is at exactly the right time to sink the small business I’m trying to get up and running. I have no budget for any other type of advertising and my business doesn’t show up on google search, so I’m unable to get any more customers. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve spent chasing my tail, google leads me through loops and loops, finally I think I can send an email to some help team but the page doesn’t work properly… I imagine this is on purpose??? Design the system to waste so much of people’s time that they simply give up? I basically have, I can’t really see a way through this.

Hi All, had my page restricted/closed by Google a few months ago. Had 200 reviews. Service business. I had one keyword in the business name that isn’t on my website business name. Also I had my home location down when I’m a service business.
I took the key word out and turned to service business. Now my page gets easily beaten by my competitors pages. I have 100 more reviews than them etc. But with no location it simply cannot compete.
I’m now putting a sign up at my home and offering in person meetings at my home to discuss jobs etc. But just a lesson to all service businesses. You will 100% lose out without having a dot on googles map..

ThanksHello, I was hoping that I could get some advice about a local competitor that I have been dealing with and has been harassing me for over 3 years.
Long story short, there aren’t many in our area that do what we do and he’s been doing it forever.
I came around, and suddenly I guess he feels threatened. He went from no social media posts since like 2018 to daily posts so it’s almost like I sparked something in him.
Anyways, he’s breaking multiple google guidelines for a service based business and I can’t seem to get google to do anything about it.
1. They’ve made multiple GMB listings even though they should only have one, google freaking merged the listings, and some clients reviewed both listings and there are instances of duplicated reviews.
2. They are lying about where they are really located to draw in more clients, and they were even stupid enough to do an update and post their real location, Its like if you dont believe me google that they are fraud, they posted their real location as an update frok their own page!?

I’ve done research and was told listings can get removed permanently for having multiple listings, and spoofing their locations and whatnot.
I’ve played by the rules, but there’s been times I’ve actually spent money with ads, and if the results are not ethical as this cheat still floats in my city, what can I really do?
I’ve filled out the redressal forms on multiple guidelines they break and sent google a ton of support emails.
Occasionally their profile will be permanently closed/or appear like it’s suspended or whatever then pops back.

I had a Google my business page for my painting and decorating business I set up about 12 years ago in the UK.
It had some before and after photos and 20+ reviews from satisfied customers. My page covered my working areas and everything was good and I received a steady flow of work.
Then Due to a relationship breakdown I had to move home and moved out of the area due to rising property prices.
Things were still good as work continued to flow in steadily.
Then my page was suspended. I tried to appeal but was unsuccessful in that regard.
I was asked for various paperwork such as traders licence which is not a thin in the UK, I was asked for my certificate of incorporation but as a sole trader I do not have this, I was asked for copies of my utility bills but as a sole trader they are in my name only and NOT in the trading name I use for my business. Consequently my appeal was denied and as such my business has more or less come to a stand still as I can no longer get my name in front of customers who are looking and ready to engage a painter and decorator.
Even though I no longer live in that area I have friends and family there and spend much of my time there. How can I get a page setup in this area again. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

We have had a GMB account since 2019. We went through all the verification steps for our new shop, everything was approved.
We requested a change on our name, website, social media accounts, and address. This must have flagged their system and suspended our account.
